大学時代から、学習ボランティアや塾講師として教育に携わってきました。
現在は中学受験の塾で働いていて、講師歴は6年目になります。

実際に僕自身が読んで、参考になった勉強法に関する本を紹介します。

この本は、その名の通り”自習”に関する本です。
10カ国以上の国の言語をマスターしたり、初心者から独学でプログラミングを学び大ヒットゲームを作ったり、大学に通わずに世界最高峰の知識を身につけたりする人々がいます。
それも、全て”3ヶ月から1年ほどの短期間で”です。こういった人々を”ウルトラ・ラーナー”と呼びます。
これらの人は天才であったわけではありません。とても効果のある勉強方法を実践していたのです。

エア授業
この方法は、自分が学んだ知識を架空の相手に授業をするというという方法です。
有名な話ですが、学習効果が最も高いのは「人に教えること」です。
自分では、十分理解したつもりでも誰かに教えようとすると、言葉に詰まってしまうことはよくあります。
それは、理解が不十分な証拠です。
誰かに教えられるレベルになって、初めて本当に理解したと言えるのです。
この方法では、相手は自分よりも知識がない人を想定してください。
実際に人に教えた方が質問や相手の反応でより学習効率は上がりますが、架空の相手でも十分効果はあります。
何かを学んだ時や、授業を受けているときは「この内容を人に説明できるか？」という視点で自分の理解度を測るようにしてください。
音読
小学生の頃には、宿題として音読が出されていたと思います。
ただ、中学校以降になると、声に出して読む機会は減っていきます。
しかし、音読はとても優秀な学習方法です。
ただ読むだけだと、脳への刺激が少ないので覚えづらくなります。
それを声を出して読むだけで、脳への刺激が多くなり格段に記憶に残ります。
僕は日本史は得意でしたが、世界史は苦手でした。
しかし、テスト前に世界史の教科書を5回以上音読すると、それだけでクラスで1番の成績を取るようになりました。
教科書や参考書を覚えたいときは、絶対に音読がおすすめです。
外では出来ないのが難点ですが、家でやってみてください。
思い出す
タイトルだけだと、よく分からない方法ですが、これはどこでも出来るオススメの勉強法です。
1日の中で、細かい空き時間は沢山あります。
例えば、人を待っている1分、移動の1分、眠りにつく前の1分。
それらの時間には、参考書を読むほどの時間はありません。
そんな時は、頭の中で覚えたことを思い出してみるのです。
例えば、江戸幕府の将軍を順番に思い出す。今日覚えた英語の文法を思い出してみる。
人は何かを思い出すだけで記憶の定着率は高まります。
もし思い出せなければ、もう一度覚えれば良いのです。
手軽に自分でテストを行えるこの方法は本当にオススメです。
空いた時間を有効活用することで、周りと差をつけてください。
カンニングペーパーを作る
もちろん、これは本当にカンニングをするためのものではありません。
カンニングペーパーを作るために必要なことはなんでしょうか。
それは、「テストに出そうな重要度の高い問題がどこか分かっていること」です。
これは勉強していく上で、非常に大切です。
重要度が高くない部分に時間をかけたとしても、点数は上がりづらいです。
常にテストに出るか？を考えながら、優先順位をつけて勉強していくと、
勉強の効率が大きく上がります。
繰り返す
これは、勉強法というよりメンタルの話です。
勉強の大前提は、一度では覚えられないということです。
人間の記憶力はそこまで万能ではないので、忘れる事が当たり前です。
たまに、自分の記憶力のなさを嘆く人がいますが、その時間がもったいないです。
忘れる前提で、覚えられるまで繰り返すのみです。
本当に、それしかありません。
この精神を持った上で、今まで話した勉強方法を実践していくことが重要です。
